Beaded Lux is truly a splendid shawl featuring luxury yarn, textured lace and all-over beaded accents. Make as we did with Buffalo Gold Lux yarn, a yummy blend of bison down, cashmere, silk and Tencel, or choose your own favorite blend of luxury fibers.
This shawl begins at the tip with just 17 stitches and widens to the length desired in an easily established beaded lace stitch pattern. Even though the stitch pattern is repetitive, the knitting remains interesting because of the textured knit/purl motifs and bead placement rows.
For a shoulder size shawl 32" long by 54" wide, you will need 650 yards lace weight or light fingering weight yarn; 483 size 6/0 (4mm) glass seed beads; knitting needles size US 4 (3.5 mm) suggested, and crochet hook small enough to fit through holes in beads. Pictured models were made in Buffalo Gold #12 Lux. Written and charted instructions.
